Battalion Chief Scott Olsen receives IFCA scholarship

On October 10 the Illinois Fire Chiefs Association Foundation presented scholarships to several firefighters and fire officers who are pursuing college degrees. Annually, 90 scholarship are awarded. The monetary value these total more than $60,000.00. BC Olsen’s scholarship will help him defray the cost of the tuition for his classes taught by Southern IL University. This higher education will provide BC Olsen with the knowledge and skills to function more effectively as a member of the PHFD executive team.
