Fire District Welcomes Three New Members

Three new candidates have begun their fire service careers with the Prospect Heights Fire District. Recruit Firefighters Max Driscoll, Patrick Delano, and Tyler Hill have completed 3 days of orientation this week. This was in preparation for their fire academy class starting Monday the 15th at the NIPSTA Fire Academy. NIPSTA (Northeastern Illinois Public Safety Training Academy) is in Glenview and sits on the property formerly occupied by the Glenview Naval Air Station. The recuits are part of a 21 student Basic Operations Firefighter class. The class run Monday throught Friday for 9 weeks. The students will learn all basic entry level facets of the fire service. Patrick and Tyler are already Paramedics, and will be moving onto the ambulance soon after completing the academy. Max already is making plans to attend Paramedic class this fall. Wish our newest members good, and a prosporous journey in this new exciting carreer.
