Thinking outside of the box is something our firefighters are expected to be able to do. Today, members showcased their talents of removing a patient from the roof of our fire station. Crews were asked to demonstrate another option to remove a patient from an elevated platform without the use of our Tower Ladder. Station 9 and 39 crews worked well to solve a problem in a safe and practical way. The end result was removing a 185 pound rescue manikin nice and smoothly. Nice work!
Ladders, rope, and other specialized equipment were used to remove the patient.
Once the patient was packaged, removal from the roof took place.
