Firefighters must be ready to extricate those trapped in a crashed auto. Practicing the cutting, prying, lifting, and displacement of mangled auto components is essential. Recently Gene's Village Towing and the Wheel-Inn provided several cars for our firefighters to practice on. All shifts were able to use the "Jaws of Life" and other tools to pry open and remove doors, the roof, and cut and displace the dashboard, seats and other components. Cars were rolled onto thier side to challenge firefighters. Special thanks to Gene's and Wheel-Inn for making the practice possible
