| The Prospect Heights Fire District is soliciting proposals for the replacement of Firefighters Protective Jacket and Pants. This $100,000 project will replace all current protective clothing that no longer complies with national safety standards. The current equipment was purchased with a FEMA Fire Act grant 10 years ago and national standards state the clothing has a 10 year life span. District staff is working hard to secure new grant funding and while the grant process continues, the District is soliciting proposals from vendors due March 20th.
