MacArthur Middle School at 710 Schoenbeck Road in Prospect Heights celebrated veterans day with veterans from our community. First there was a warm welcome from the students and staff from the school before the veterans were escorted to their seats where a breakfast was served to veterans from WWII to current active duty. After some delicious breakfast and great conversation with these veterans the event was moved to the gymnasium where a wonderful presentation was made by the entire school. The band played a medley of the hymns from the various armed services. The chorus sang songs like "God Bless America" with the accompaniment of the orchestra, along with other musical entertainment. Students presented histories of our great nation on topics like the "Pledge of Allegiance", the "Star Bangled Banner" and how the flag came to be in it's current configuration.

A couple of our own veterans were in attendance which included Jason Noga (USN) and Jay Huh (USMC).
