Two new firefighters graduated from the fire academy Friday 12/15/17, completeing a long 9 weeks of basic training. Candidates Matthew Dyer and Rob Loverher now move onto the next phase of their training. They will perform 60 hours of orientation to the district, and then will begin their assigned shift. Their 9 weeks of training taught them the basics of fire supression, and rescue techniques, as well as hazardous materials operations. The graduation was attended by each new firefighter's family. Both FF Dyer and FF Loverher have a household presence in the fire service (Dyer's Father, and Loverher's Step Father both Deputy Chiefs in other departments), thus continuing on the family lineage of fire service.
