On May 27th, members of PHFD collected money for Camp "I Am Me" at our local Walgreens. The camp provides an enviroment where children of all ages who have had significant burns can relax and have fun with other kids who have similarly been burned. Volunteers and medical and behavioral health care professionals staff the week-long camp. Each year Prospect Heights firefighters raise money to help out sponsor these kids. On average, it costs around $2,500 to sponsor one child for the week. This year we collected around $450. Special thank you goes to FF Hedman, FF Maihack and Lt Rill for helping out. All that money will be presented on June 20th during their annual parade. Thank you to those who contributed to "Fill the Boot!"
