On July 17th 2020 Mike Salerno from the Wheeling branch of Country Financial donated $1500 to purchase a new rescue chain saw. This money helped us replace an 18 year old saw and has already been placed in-service. This chain saw is used in ventilation operations on structure fires, a group of firefighters open a roof the assembly allowing heated gases and smoke to be released. This helps firefighters that are attacking the fire to find the fire quicker and also increasing the chance of an occupant to survive the fire event.
