Our newest firefighter paramedic Michael Borkowski graduated from the nine-week NIPSTA Fire Academy on Friday March 11. Mike is now working shifts for us. Congratulations, Mike, and welcome aboard!

The NIPSTA Fire Academy is a nine-week course. The academy runs Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Students generally arrive on campus an hour before class to prepare their equipment, themselves, and their team mates. The intensive, skills-focused curriculum prepares each graduate to functions as a full-trained firefighter.
