Next Stop Ecuador!

In recent stories, we spoke about the purchase of new firefighter protective clothing and ambulance cots. Those purchases have been made and the new equipment is issued and in use, so what happens to the old stuff?
Since American safety standards prevent us from using this equipment any longer, we have teamed up with Chicago firefighters to donate this equipment to Ecuador. A local group known as “Firefighters Hearts United” makes arrangements for this equipment to be shipped to Ecuador along with making training visits 4 times a year to train Ecuador firefighters on firefighting techniques.
We are glad to help and find a second home for our used equipment.
