The Fire District will host its annual open house on Saturday, October 11th 2014, from 10 am to 2 pm at the headquarters station located at 10 E Camp McDonald Rd. Open House for the Fire District coincides with Fire Prevention Week which commemorates the great Chicago Fire of 1871.

This year’s Open House theme as selected by the National Fire Protection Association is “Working Smoke Alarms Save Lives.” As the Fire District embraces this theme there will also be an opportunity for residents to meet its staff and firefighters, see its equipment, tour the facilities, and learn more about the importance of smoke alarms and fire safety.

As always, a free hot dog lunch that will be served from 11 am until 1 pm, so stop by, have some lunch and check out what the Fire District is all about.
