...that the Prospect Heights Fire District performs child safety seat inspections for its residents?

What's the right type of seat? Where to put it in my car? Is it installed correctly? This seat was used by a friend for their child 10 years ago, can I still use it? What is 'LATCH' found in my owners manual? These are all good questions that can have anyone baffled. Between the number of child safety seat makers, auto makers, and the years of make and model, there can be over 2 million different combinations. It's no wonder there's so much confusion and uncertainty.

Certified members of the fire district are here to help. Bring your vehicle and car seat by the station and have one of our car seat technicians assist you in installing and inspecting your particular setup. It's free. It's easy and best of all you can be assured that your child will be properly and safely restrained in your vehicle. If your child comes with we can also show you the best fit for your child's safety and comfort.

It's preferred to call for an appointment. Always a good idea to call ahead to make sure that one of our technicians will be on duty that day.
