Airport Training

February 6, 2020

Today Black shift trained on the airport using a yard hydrant and an empty hanger for fire attack on an airplane. The video shows how Crash Truck 39 can enter a hanger and operate two water nozzles on an airplane. Since we did not have an airplane we used two contractor desks with orange cones as a target. The other photos show a special pit that houses a fire hydrant that we can use to fill up our vehicles. The reason they are underground and not like our hydrants on street corners is to reduce the possibility of an airplane from striking them causing damage.
