The Arlington Heights Fire Department responded about 2:10 a.m. Sunday, March 27, 2022 to a report of a house fire near Euclid Avenue and Prindle Avenue in Arlington Heights. This is across the street from the Methodist church. A neighbor reported seeing flames from a house nearby. Firefighters also received a report, before they arrived, that a second-story balcony had already collapsed from the fire damage. Based on that report, the fire was upgraded to a working fire response.

Prospect Heights responded to the AHFD's request for assistance with Squad 9 (a pumper) and Ambulance 39. Squad 9 firefighters assisted with battling the blaze while paramedics with Ambulance 39 treated multiple victims of the fire some of whom were transported to Northwest Community Hospital.
